Jessica Prince, originally from Newcastle NSW, started dancing at the age of 3 enrolling in baby ballerinas. She picked up her first pair of ballroom heels at 17 and has not looked back since. She moved to Sydney to pursue her dancing dream and is currently one of the top competitors in Australia in both Ballroom and New Vogue.
Jessica has featured on Channel 7's Dancing with the Stars for the last three seasons, most infamously with Mark Holden in 2014 but also with supermodel Jordan Stenmark and ironman, Caine Eckstein.
She also featured in the 2010 series of So You Think You Can Dance Australia where she was one of the final three girls of the competition.
Jessica has been lucky enough to work in several stage shows over the years. In 2014 she was selected as one of the ballroom dancers in Strictly Ballroom the Musical getting to work with Baz Luhrrman on adapting his screen sensation for the stage. She was also a featured soloist in the American tour of Jason Gilkison’s ‘Burn the Floor’. She has performed with this company both nationally and internationally in 2010 and 2011. She has performed alongside many international artists including Olivia Newton John, Robbie Williams, Kelly Rowlands, Human Nature, John Paul Young, Johnny Ruffo, and Nathaniel from X Factor.
She has also choreographed several shows, including Sydney Theatre Company’s ‘Dance Better at Parties’ which was also turned into a telemovie featuring on ABC.
In the ballroom dancing world she has been the undefeated NSW Open Champion for New Vogue for three years and was ranked third in Australia.
She is a licensed coach and member of the Australian Dancing Society and Dancesport Australia. She is also the co-founder of Dancesport Lectures, a series of lectures and workshops which provide top quality information from Australia’s best coaches in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
